Commodity Fumigation: A Certification Manual for North Carolina Private Pesticide Applicators contains information specifically intended for North Carolina private (non-commercial) pesticide applicators who use fumigants to control pests in commodity storage structures such as steel grain bins, concrete silos with an elevator, and elevators and bulk flat storages, whether covered with tarpaulin or inside a structure. It covers fumigation preparation and safety recommendations and provides general procedures for fumigating structures such as bulk bins and trucks. This manual does not include information for soil fumigation for plant pathogens and other organisms or any stored fresh commodities.
