Introduction
The purpose of this publication is to provide information on soybean production in North Carolina. This information is intended to help producers make better decisions and increase yields and profits.
Much of the research and extension contained in this publication was funded by the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association (NCSPA). The NCSPA is the Qualified State Soybean Board to administer soybean checkoff-funded programs for soybean producers in North Carolina. The NCSPA serves the interests of North Carolina soybean growers through research, promotion, and advocacy. Support for research is the largest investment of the association, and monies from the grower assessment support and fund research at North Carolina State University that ultimately helps fulfill our mission of maximizing the profitability for North Carolina soybean farmers in an economically and environmentally sound manner.
